Story

Finn is becoming a young man – and his mother realizes that it's time for him to learn a trade, or both of them will starve. So, they both set out to find a craftsman who will accept him as an apprentice.

Upon arriving in the wet and cold, little village of Fish Bone Harbor, they find that all of the desirable trades have already signed apprentices. The cobbler, butcher, cheesemaker – even the fishermen have contracted helpers.

Depressed and dejected, they try one last place – the Trapdoor Maker. It is here that they meet Crayfish, an overweight, harsh and rude man who, upon much deliberation accepts Finn as an apprentice.

This is where the tale of the Trapdoor Apprentice begins – follow Finn as he meets friends, make enemies, and has many adventures above and below the Trapdoor.
