Story

Finn is growing up – and his mother realizes that it's time for him to learn a trade, or both of them will starve. So, they set out to find a craftsman who will accept him as an apprentice.

Upon arriving in the dreary, little village of Fish Bone Harbor, they're dismayed to find all of the desirable trades have already signed apprentices. The cobbler, butcher, cheesemaker - even the tanner! - are completely filled with help.

Dejected, Finn and his mother try one last place – the Trapdoor Maker. It is here they meet Crayfish, an overweight, harsh and rude man whom, upon much deliberation, accepts Finn as his apprentice.
